Your Opportunity

An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for an inspirational Occupational Therapist to join the staff team at Shenstone School.  We are looking for someone who is able to help, support and bring out the best in our pupils who have severe, profound and/or complex needs. Regular professional supervision from a Senior Occupational Therapist will be arranged for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic, motivated and can obtain the best individual outcomes for our fantastic pupils.  They will be required to work 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday on a year round contract (term time only would be considered).  They will be responsible for such duties as: assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing pupils needs, sourcing equipment, liaising with parents/carers and multidisciplinary teams regarding their implementation, producing reports/plans, supporting in meetings etc.

Shenstone School is a primary aged (Nursery to Year 6) special school for pupils with severe, and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties. Shenstone School is one school based across two sites which are 5 miles apart (Sidcup and Crayford).  We are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of all our pupils, staff and parents/carers and we stand by our motto of “together we engage, thrive and achieve”.
