Spruce Class

Class Name: Spruce

Class Teacher: Alison

Term:  1

Date Completed: December 2018

Topic this term: Keeping Healthy

We have been learning about how to keep healthy by exercising at intervals throughout the day. We have been dancing, swimming, cycling, running and climbing.  We have learnt about eating healthily. As a class we enjoyed the book ‘The Lighthouse Keepers’ Lunch’ and based some of our cooking on the foods in the book. We made lots of tasty treats such as fruit smoothies, fruit salads, Greek salads and sandwiches. Some pupils excelled on the Panathlon day at a nearby school. We have also learned about how to clean our teeth properly as well as the importance of washing our hands regularly. It has been a fun and busy term!

Topic next term: Habitat

We have a range of exciting activities planned both indoor and outdoor.

Please do not forget to send in any WOW moments from home, we will add these into your child’s learning journey.  If you need more wow stars, just ask!

Happy festive break from Spruce Class.

Shenstone Stepping Stones

As a school we have created a new assessment system called Shenstone Stepping Stones. Learning journeys are being put together to highlight and celebrate the progress that your child has made. This information will be shared with you on this newsletter in the Spring term.
