Bluebell Class

Class Name:  Bluebells

Class Teacher: Sammie

Term:  Summer

Date Completed: 28th March 2018

Hi! Last term Bluebell class were very busy exploring our topic “Living in a material world” – we have worked really hard within this topic and enjoyed exploring lots of different materials and their properties. We especially enjoyed our junk modelling to decide the best materials to make boats, and then we explored floating and sinking to see whether our boat would survive out in the sea! We have also read lots of books as part of this topic and we LOVED reading “The Three Little Pigs”. We enjoyed exploring all the different materials that the pigs used to build their houses and especially enjoyed putting on masks and pretending we were the pigs - we used the big shapes in soft play to build our houses and acted out the story!

What we have been learning about this term: include any particular trips / places you have visited

This term our topic is “It’s a Jungle Out there!” We have lots of fun activities planned, including exploring the minibeasts and animals that we can find in our local area. We can’t wait to also have a look at things that grow in our outside area and after we read “Jack and the Beanstalk” we look forward to growing our very own beanstalk – and looking after these to see what they need to grow.

We are a very busy class and really enjoy our dance and P.E sessions – please can you ensure that we all have a (named) P.E kit in school as we are trying very hard to work on getting changed all by ourselves!
