General Class info/introduction: perhaps include ‘our topic for the term is’

Sycamore class is covering the Topic ‘All Creatures Great & Small’ this term and we shall be finding out about different animals, mini beasts & birds.

We are doing Athletics this term in practice for Sports day and the pupils are developing their skills.

What we have been learning about this term: include any particular trips / places you have visited

In Spring Term, the pupils had a weekly session of Animal Therapy; the people brought along various animals each week and told the children about looking after them. The pupils were encouraged to look, touch with support to be gentle and each week the children progressed in either touching them or allowing the creature to get nearer to them.

They enjoyed the experience of seeing the live chicks in school.

This term we shall be looking for birds and animals outside of school & in the playground and field. We are hoping to visit the Pet shop in Crayford and also an animal centre.
